There are mountains in my mind
They have names I cannot find
Are they mountains I have climbed
Should I sketch a brief outline
Or simply let them drift away

There are rivers in my mind
They have names I cannot find
Are they courses that I took
For their source where I should look
Or simply let them drift away

There are people in my mind
They have names I cannot find
Are they from a book or are they real
Should I ask them what’s the deal
Or simply let them drift away

Because I no longer need to know
What made those people feel
What made those rivers flow
What made those mountains real
They were memories in my mind
But now they are leaving me behind

And I just want to drift away
